Deep tissue massage is typically a more intense massage, designed to reach deep muscle layers and relieve long-term tension. Trigger points, fascia and posture are all tended with conpression, long, fluid strokes and friction.
Melissa Brocato received her pre- and perinatal massage certification from Body Therapy Associates in 2012, and provides massage services to women in all stages of pregnancy, labor, and postpartum. Prenatal massage refers to any massage performed during pregnancy. Each prenatal massage is customized to each mother-to-be's tolerance to pressure, and includes both passive and active joint mobilization. Many pregnant women find massage alleviates pain associated with pregnancy and lowers their stress levels.

Sports massage is tailored to athletes of any level. It is used to keep the body in peak physical condition and to prevent injury. Because these techniques typically involve significant amounts of joint mobilization, it is suggested that clients wear comfortable, lose-fitting clothing, similar to gym wear during the session.
Swedish is considered your typical bare-basic relaxation massage. It includes long, fluid strokes (effleurage), kneading (pétrissage), and gentle friction. It is most often used to relieve stress and ease mild, occasional pain.
On-site chair massage is also available. For $50/hour (two hour minimum), a therapist will travel to your home or office and offer chair massage to your family, friends, or employees. Each client is required to complete a Chair Massage Intake Form before receiving treatment.
